Mission Statement: Solid Foundations Homeschooling Cooperative exists to bring families together in a Christ-centered community to encourage, equip, and edify children through an experiential learning environment.
Solid Foundations is a Homeschooling Co-op and Playgroup Ministry with ages birth to 12th Grade. Cooperatively, all students have a parent/adult who stays in the building to teach or help in whatever area is needed. (Please note* we are not a drop-off group). We meet on Tuesdays from September to June at Rock Solid Church in Hudson, NY. Currently, our classes meet from 9-11 am with a meeting time in the Sanctuary for all from 8:45-8:57 with Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, and a Devotion. At 11:00, we meet back in the Sanctuary and close with Prayer. You and your family may stay for lunch until noontime or head home. (pack your lunches if staying). We do offer clubs after lunch.
Jeana Hoyt oversees our Solid Foundation program and works with our adult leaders to produce quality programs and education for children. The group's Foundation is in Jesus Christ, with a focus of building a relationship with Him and with each other as we learn. Jeana is a faithful woman of the Word and a mom of three beautiful children. Her love for children and for equipping them in the Word is evident through her dedication and service to this Ministry.
